Brookside Gardens Winter Display
November 23, 2012 - January 6, 2013

The WVMGRS teamed up with the staff of Brookside Gardens for the 8th year in a row, putting on a special display of trains and holiday greenery. This year trains weave around a variety of evergreens and conifers as well as colorful flowering plants of the season as they travel through towns and country-side scenes. This year’s plantings will include flowering plants from warmer regions of the world such as red-flowered Cestrum, Bouganvillea, blue and white Browallia (bell flower), and several flowering Salvias (sages). These and familiar Poinsettias are accented by the chartreuse and soft lime foliage of Monterrey Cypress and ‘Limelight’ licorice plant.

The display was located in the South Conservatory of Brookside Gardens, at 1500 Glenallen Avenue, Wheaton, Maryland. For more information about Brookside, please visit their website.
