Brookside Gardens Winter Display November 29, 2013 - January 5, 2014 |
The WVMGRS teamed up with the staff of Brookside Gardens for the 9th year in a row, putting on a special display of trains and holiday greenery. Trains and trolleys roll along their tracks through evergreens, boxwoods, poinsettias and other ornamental plants as they travel by town and country scenes, including a custom made, one-of-a-kind scale model of the outdoor Wheaton Ice Rink, complete with moving skaters and music. The scene along the window is all new this year and depicts the Georgetown trolley traveling to and from Glen Echo park with many historical buildings.

The display was located in the South Conservatory of Brookside Gardens, at 1500 Glenallen Avenue, Wheaton, Maryland. For more information about Brookside, please visit their website.
